TO JAGATSUKH
DUE TO HEAVY RAINS THE ROUTE FROM 14 HAZAAR TO KHANOL WAS FULL OF KICCHAD AND WAS VERY SLIPPERY.
JUST IMAGIME A PATH OF MUD AND STONES WITH A 30-45 DEGREE INCLINE IN WHICH THE FEET SINK UPTO THE ANKLES . EVERY STEP WAS A (MIS)ADVENTURE.....YOU NEVER KNOW WHEN YOU R GOING TO SLIP AND FALL AND YOU NEVER KNOW WHEN YOU ARE GONNA SINK KNEE DEEP. THE MOST ENTERTAINING WERE THE SHORT CUTS( FREE FALLS).......A DIRECT SLIP OF 5-10 FEET THROUGH MUD, GRASS AND STICKS WITH A RISK OF INJURY .......BUT EVERYBODY SEEM TO BE ATTRACTED TO THEM.....I TRIED ONE BUT GAVE UP WHEN MY ANKLE WAS TWISTED BY 360 DEGREES..........BUT IT WAS ENTERTAINING TO WATCH THE OTHERS BALANCING AND FALLING....THEN LOOKING AROUND IF ANYBODY WAS LOOKING AND GETTING UP AS IF NOTHING HAD HAPPENED.
WHAT SCARED ME THE MOST WAS THE WAY THE CAPTAINS WERE DOING IT...AS IF THEY ARE BREAKPROOF......SO MANY TIMES I SAW THEM BALANCING ENTIRE WEIGHT ON ONE ANKLE IN AN INPOSSIBLE ANGLE........THAT WAS MADNESS.....
BACK TO GADDITACH
TODAY WAS THE DAY.......
FROM EXTASY AT CHANDERTAL TO THE AGONY OF BEING COLD, WET, HUNGRY , EXHAUSTED, IN A STORM, DIRTY IN THE BOG AND MIRE......WE HAD IT ALL IN JUST ONE DAY.........FINALLY WE REJOINED THE OTHERS AT GADDITACH AT 5 PM AND BOY THEY WERE GLAD TO SEE US....WE GOT A WARM WELCOME AND A HOT TEA ......

THE RISING STORM
DURING THE DESCENT WE RAN HEADLONG INTO A STORM.
CHILLY BREEZE, RAIN , SNOW AND SOME HAIL WERE ASSULTING US FROM THE FRONT.....THE COLD RAIN AND HAIL WERE LIKE A THOUSAND NEEDLES PIERCING THE EXPOSED PARTS OF THE FACE.
THE RIDGE OF THE TENTA WATERFALL HAD BECOME ONE LARGE AND CONTINUOUSLY SLIPPERY ROLLERCOASTER ROUTE.
THE SERI PLATEAU HAD BEEN TRANSFORMED INTO A MIRE. THE ENTIRE PLACE WAS BOGGY AND SWAMPY. THERE WAS NO DRY LAND AVAILABLE .SO WE TREKKED IN ANKLE DEEP SOFT MUD . WE ALSO AVOIDED REMOVUNG OUR SHOES WHLIF CROSSING THE RIVER.......BUT THIS WAS AN REALLY BAD IDEA.....AS SOON AS OUR SHOES AND SOCKS GOT WET WE STARTED GETTING CHILLY AND COLD. THE WET SOCS WERE ACTING AS A HEAT DRAIN FOR OUR BODIES.
