TO JAGATSUKH

DUE TO HEAVY RAINS THE ROUTE FROM 14 HAZAAR TO KHANOL WAS FULL OF KICCHAD AND WAS VERY SLIPPERY.
JUST IMAGIME A PATH OF MUD AND STONES WITH A 30-45 DEGREE INCLINE IN WHICH THE FEET SINK UPTO THE ANKLES . EVERY STEP WAS A (MIS)ADVENTURE.....YOU NEVER KNOW WHEN YOU R GOING TO SLIP AND FALL AND YOU NEVER KNOW WHEN YOU ARE GONNA SINK KNEE DEEP. THE MOST ENTERTAINING WERE THE SHORT CUTS( FREE FALLS).......A DIRECT SLIP OF 5-10 FEET THROUGH MUD, GRASS AND STICKS WITH A RISK OF INJURY .......BUT EVERYBODY SEEM TO BE ATTRACTED TO THEM.....I TRIED ONE BUT GAVE UP WHEN MY ANKLE WAS TWISTED BY 360 DEGREES..........BUT IT WAS ENTERTAINING TO WATCH THE OTHERS BALANCING AND FALLING....THEN LOOKING AROUND IF ANYBODY WAS LOOKING AND GETTING UP AS IF NOTHING HAD HAPPENED.

WHAT SCARED ME THE MOST WAS THE WAY THE CAPTAINS WERE DOING IT...AS IF THEY ARE BREAKPROOF......SO MANY TIMES I SAW THEM BALANCING ENTIRE WEIGHT ON ONE ANKLE IN AN INPOSSIBLE ANGLE........THAT WAS MADNESS..... Posted by Picasa
